Wato Chiyoko aka Yuko Kisagari is Doctor Ochanomizu's assistant in the 2003 astro boy anime exclusively.She is known to always have with her a pet robot flamingo named Momo. She plays a major, although very passive, role in the series and even accompanies Atom on journies ocassionally. Many believe her to be the Tezuka character Wato, from "The Three-Eyed One". In fact, Astro Boy: Omega Factor makes the same assumption and places an unaltered version of Wato in place of the anime redesign.However strong evidence suggests that she is a seperate character because Wato does make an appearance in an episode as a kidnapped scientist along with her co-star Sharaku. This leads many to believe she is a new character made up by the writers of the new anime.

However, assuming that this is Wato a character overview will be done. Wato Chiyoko originates as a high schooler and best friend of Sharaku Hosuke in The Three Eyed One. Her name is derived from Watson (similar to Sharaku Hosuke being derived from Sherlock Holmes). She plays Sharaku's sidekick and also contributes almost all fan service by herself. She is often caught up in scenes involving sex and nudity for the male readers pleasure. Her personality is tomboyish and sharply contrasts Sharaku's innocent demeanor. She and Sharaku have recently gained brief anime fame through their insertion as a brother and sister team in the recent string of Tezuka's Black Jack animes.
