Jazz is one of Skunk Kusai's two henchmen in the 2003 series. He is a rash, irritable man who closely follows Skunk's orders. Jazz is especially skilled with machinery, and knows a lot about guns and modifying robots.
Appearance[]
Jazz is a short, paunchy middle-aged man in loose-fitting clothing. He has very long brown hair, tied into a ponytail, and wears a panama hat and goggles. He wears a blue vest over an untucked pink shirt, and long beige cargo pants. Jazz has goggles with red lenses hanging around his neck, but rarely wears them over his eyes. He also always wears small silver hoop earrings.
He is not to be confused with Pilat or Issen Hage, although the three are visually similar.
Personality[]
Jazz is mostly seen working alongside Skunk and Blues. Jazz treats Skunk with an enormous amount of respect, especially in the Japanese version, and treats Blues like a good friend and close partner.

Jazz is possibly the most brutal member of Skunk's group, as evidenced by his willingness to shoot Wato in Old Dog, New Tricks, and how he shoves Denkou into a corner so he can yell at them. He openly hates Astro, and sees robots as nothing more than machines or tools for the benefit of humans.
Jazz collects guns, and is especially knowledgeable with their various functions. He has a particular interest in electronics and machinery, especially with customizing or jumpstarting them, and he often handles technical aspects for the gang. Jazz was primarily responsible for hijacking and reactivating Jumbo; in the English dub, Jazz even adds a special program to Jumbo that allows him to bypass the robot-inhibiting Guardian System.
